Using Natural Light
What gives mood to an image:
- the background
- the lighting
- colours in an image
- the model
- the pose
- tonal range displayed
- high-key lighting
- low-key lighting-direction
This is an example of an artist that uses light in a different way to get an effect that is usually not wanted with professional photographers.
Paolo Roversi

These are photographs taken by photographer Paolo Roversi, he uses natural light to over expose the skin of the model, this often concludes in the eyes and mouth being more prominent. I admire this type of photography, the skin of the models looks flawless and the eyes stand out as something you notice first when looking at these images. This effect may work well when taking photographs for my final design as the skin looks pale and colours are prominent.
